Kathy and I have been married for 36 years and have two grown daughters. As natives of San Diego, California, we enjoy spending time with family and friends. Kathy has served as a program and technical advisor for a utility company for more than 25 years and continues to excel in her field. She also has a heart for serving others and prayer.

God has allowed me to serve others through the ministry of teaching and preaching. I completed my bachelor’s degree in religion - Biblical and Theological Studies at Liberty University. This passion for teaching biblical principles from a Christian worldview led us to found Word of His Grace Christian Ministry, a Christ-centered church founded on the teachings of Holy Scripture, with an emphasis on God’s saving grace. Presently, I am completing my Master of Divinity at Fuller Seminary.

The collective testimony of Scripture points to the person and work of Jesus Christ, who is the Christian’s sole object of faith and devotion. The apostle John declared, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” (1 John 5:11–13). Jesus Christ is the head of the body of Christ, including Word of His Grace Christian Ministry.

I am blessed to be married to my beautiful wife, Marla, and together we are raising our amazing son. As lifelong residents of San Diego, California, we are grateful to serve the Lord in the community we have always called home. We enjoy spending time with family, serving in our local church, and building meaningful relationships with those God has placed in our lives.

The greatest change in my life came through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. God took someone who was spiritually lost and gave me a new heart, a new purpose, and a desire to live for His glory. Since that day, my passion has been to faithfully preach and teach God's Word, proclaim the gospel, and help others grow into mature followers of Christ.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Religion – Christian Ministries from Liberty University and am currently pursuing a Master of Divinity. I am also completing Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) as I work toward board certification in chaplaincy and prepare to enter the United States Navy Reserve Chaplain Corps. Whether serving in church, at a hospital bedside, or alongside those who serve our nation, my desire is to reflect the love of Christ through faithful biblical teaching, compassionate pastoral care, and genuine relationships.

I believe that true and lasting transformation comes through the faithful teaching of God's Word. My passion is to preach Christ, make disciples, and walk alongside people through every season of life. My prayer is that every person I encounter would come to know Christ more deeply, grow in their trust in Him, and experience the lasting hope and joy that are found in Him alone.

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine."

    — 2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV)

Linda and I have been married for 15 years. We were introduced to each other through our dearest friends Angel and Kathy Casas. We currently reside in Vancouver Washington. However Linda was born and raised in San Diego, I joined the Navy right out High School and was stationed in San Diego where it became my home for 29 years, therefore we both have ties in San Diego, with family and friends.

Linda currently works as a school psychologist and previously worked in bookkeeping, which she enjoyed, but helping kids is her passion. I have been a welder for approximately 33 years, which I thoroughly enjoy.

Linda and I continue to cultivate a loving relationship with Jesus on a daily basis.
